I founded Misty Moon Exhibitions and Events in 2008. We started off as a small Arts and Crafts Fair and we held our first event at St Hilda’s Church Hall in Crofton Park SE4. Since then Misty Moon has evolved from a craft and art fair to an organisation that specialises in Exhibitions and Events.
We have had success in and around Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park SE23, where we have put on successful craft fairs and music nights at the Honor Oak Pub. The music nights featured Steve ‘Boltz’ Bolton of Atomic Rooster and The Who fame. We have also had celebrity guests attend our fairs and music nights including Graham Cole aka PC Tony Stamp from ITV1’s The Bill and members of the cast from Ashes to Ashes.
In 2010, Misty Moon became involved with the Tank Gallery and the Ladywell Tavern in Lewisham, where we have held critically acclaimed themed exhibitions featuring local artists from Beckenham, Forest Hill, Brockley and South East London, as well as International Artists from Turkey, Poland and America.
We have also been proud to be the first to exhibit work by American artist and actress, Adrienne King star of the original Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th Part 2. Adrienne came over to England in September 2011 to exhibit her work with us in person. Adrienne has been to Misty Moon many times since then and is one of our Patrons.
Misty Moon’s exhibitors cover a wide range of work including ceramics, fine jewellery, photography, graphic art, paintings in multi media and sculptures.
With the growing success and popularity of our exhibitions, Misty Moon is now showcasing and selling original work from some of our most frequent exhibitors on the new Misty Moon Store. New work will be added regularly, so please keep checking back.
Misty Moon has had favourable coverage by the Press including the News Shopper, SE Magazines and Lewisham Life and has been critically acclaimed by the South London Press, Art Supplement, Pulse.
